Designing and Implementing Social Transfer Programmes – icw Economic Policy Research Institute

Annual courses aim to build the capacity of government policymakers and officials, representatives from bilateral and multilateral agencies, programme practitioners and staff members from non-governmental organisations. Provided in collaboration with EPRI, HelpAge International, and IDS.

Specialisation: Social Protection Policy  – MSc Public Policy and Human Development

This specialisation is a compilation of applied courses aimed at giving future policy analysts and practitioners a comprehensive view of social protection policy. Backed by traditional and state-of-the-art theories, it incorporates social situations in local, regional and international contexts and introduces a range of possible policy interventions and techniques of rational decision-making in public policy. Courses can be taken separately as well – for further information please see Short Courses. The specialisation is provided in collaboration with the ILO.

International Social Protection Studies Programme – led by the Universities of Heidelberg and Hanoi

We have been a partner in the International Social Protection Studies Programme, led by the Universities of Heidelberg and Hanoi, since 2007. Participants are trained both in Asia as well as in various locations around Europe. In Maastricht, we host and train one short course covering the fields of public policy design and analysis, with a focus on pensions, health and social assistance during a training period lasting 4 weeks.This course is part of the International Master of Social Protection led by the Universities of Heidelberg and Hanoi.
